Rev. Chris Lowe, Pope St. John XXIII National Seminary Class of 2015, recently published a guide on Catholic social teaching.

As summarized on the website for Amazon, Catholic Social Teaching: Group Reading Guide is perfect for small groups, youth ministry, or adult faith formation. This clear and accessible guide helps us understand both the “whats” and the “whys” of the Church’s social teachings and how they provide the moral compass we need to navigate our complex and increasingly polarized world.

The Pope St. John XXIII National Seminary community welcomed Bishop Edgar da Cunha, Bishop of Fall River, on Wednesday February 12th, to celebrate the Mass for the Institution of Acolytes.  First Year Theologians were installed so each may primarily aid the deacon and minister to the priest.

Seminarians and faculty traveled to Washington DC recently where they partook in the activities of the March for Life between January 22nd and 24th, 2020.  The Seminary's group met up with approximately 500,000 others to give witness to and pray for the sanctity of all human life from the moment of conception to natural death.

Pope St. John XXIII National Seminary was pleased to welcome The Most Rev. Michael J. Sheridan, S.Th.D. from the Diocese of Colorado Springs, Colorado to celebrate Mass on October 30th.  During the Mass, Bishop Sheridan admitted nine seminarians from First and Second Theology into Candidacy for Holy Orders. These men are in formation for the Archdiocese of Boston and for the Dioceses of Brooklyn, Columbus, Orlando, and Youngstown. Thank you, Bishop Sheridan, for your generous spirit and for being with us during this special evening for the community.
