PSJS welcomes Vietnamese Catholic Community

Father John Dinh Pham and fifteen parishioners from the Vietnamese community of St. Bernadette's in Randolph, MA celebrated the Mass with the seminary on Monday. The choir wore traditional long dresses and the conductor played the keyboards with a pronounced flute overtone. The liturgy was celebrated in Vietnamese and the cadence and musicality of the language made for a beautiful Mass. Bishop John Brungardt, of Dodge City, KS, Father Palardy, Rector and seven priests con-celebrated the Mass.

Father John Dinh Pham is in residence at St. Ambrose Parish in Dorchester and a full time graduate student at Boston College. Father John graduates in May and returns to Vietnam this summer. Two additional Vietnamese seminarians joined us for the Mass, along with five Vietnamese nuns. Our very own Vietnamese seminarian, Brother Dominic Savio served as acolyte. The entire community shared a thanksgiving dinner and fellowship after the Mass.
