Theologians Take Oath of Fidelity and Profess their Faith

Members of the Pope St. John XXIII National Seminary Class of 2020 took their Oath of Fidelity and Profession of Faith on March 19, 2019.

The ceremony occurred during Evening Prayer and is a necessary step prior to ordination to the Transitional Diaconate.  It documents the seminarian's willingness to uphold the teachings of the Catholic Church in the ministry he exercises. This year, welcomed as an added grace, it happened to occur on the Solemnity of St. Joseph.

Please join us in celebrating this monumental step for these men, and pray for their continued formation in Christ as they seek to serve His Church. Enjoy pictures of the ceremony in our Flickr album!
