Michael Silveus
Class Year

Before entering the seminary, Mike was a professor of Dentistry at Georgetown university and a general dentist in Washington, D.C. He also served as an administrator in the university of Detroit Mercy School of Dentistry and taught dentistry as well as philosophy to undergraduate students. Mike was blessed to have spent eight years studying as a member of the Society of Jesus. “What makes being at PSJS especially unique is living with men who have had similar backgrounds, in that they have lived full and interesting lives, and have acted on God’s call to the priesthood later in our lives. I have felt the call to the priesthood since I was an altar server in third grade, but also believed God wanted me to live and experience life outside the priesthood before I brought my life experiences to the Diocese.”
