Before he entered seminary life, Gustavo was working in the Ministry of Education in Colombia, where he had many good experiences in the educational field. Additionally, he worked in the Catholic missions in his brother's parish.
“It was very rewarding working in the educational field, as I was able to help the educational, human, social and religious formation of many people. I have come to Pope St. John XXIII Seminary at the invitation of Monsignor Mongelluzzo, a faculty formator at the Seminary. His guidance and encouragement have been wonderful, and I look forward to deepening my path to priesthood with his continued encouragement and that of the men and faculty of the house. Here, I found a community of very respectful people. I am happy in the seminary and I constantly pray to God to help me persevere in my priestly vocation.”
