I have a culinary degree, and spent years catering everything from homes, halls, offices - to even Tall Ships! My prior career has also entailed selling furniture and working in a casino. “This has been a call that I have ignored for years, I’ve taken many calls trying to run from God, and what he wanted from me. But when I finally turned around and listened, and said to myself I wanted to be a monk and a priest, I thought it was too late for me I’m too old and I’ve been on my own for far too long. I think that made God laugh, and say Stephen you’re always thinking you are alone and relying on yourself. I am now a Trappist Monk and a seminarian. I’m from St Joseph’s Abbey so there is a history of monks coming here, and they have always said how impressed they were with the seminary, the community life, the quality of the teachers and support was second to none - and that is exactly what I have found at PSJS.”
