Spring Vocation Discernment Retreat - March 15-17, 2024

Pope St. John XXIII National Seminary, in Weston, Massachusetts, will be holding a Vocation Discernment Retreat for older candidates to the priesthood, from Friday, March 15, 2024, through Sunday, March 17, 2024.  Any man between the ages of 30-65 is invited to participate.  This is a tremendous opportunity to open up to the possibility that God is calling you to serve the Church.  His Eminence, Seán Cardinal O’Malley, OFM Cap., Archbishop of Boston, will be in attendance and will hold a roundtable discussion as he shares his own discernment and call to priesthood with the participants.

3:30 p.m.       Campus Tour/questions

5:00 p.m.       Prayer/Adoration

6:00 p.m.       Dinner

7:15 p.m.       Stations of the Cross in the Chapel

8:00 p.m.       Social in the Seminarian Lounge or Outdoor Fire Pit (weather permitting)

7:40 am.         Morning prayer

8:00 a.m.        Breakfast

8:40 – 11:30a.m.  Attend classes with seminarian host

11:45 a.m.      Mass - Celebrant:  Rev. Stephen Linehan, Dean of Seminarians

12:30 p.m.      Lunch

2:00 p.m.       Vocation Story Panel Discussion with current seminarians – Media Room

3:30 p.m.       Free time (chapel, reading, conversation, etc.)

5:30 p.m.       Dinner

7:00 p.m.       Discussion with Msgr. William Fay, Professor of Philosophy & Theology – Rector’s Conference Room

8:00 p.m.       Social in Lounge
